Getting married as study finds is a great way to achieve longevity. However, Esmond Allcock, a 108-year old Canadian is more specific. Picking a good wife does the trick for living long.

The CBC News reports that Esmond Allock celebrated his 108th birthday this January 2018. At this time, Esmond Allcock is one of the oldest men living in Canada. He attributes his longevity to picking a good wife. He says;

I didn’t behave myself for a few years there, but then I got a really good wife.

He met his wife Helen in a dance and have been married for 72 years. Unfortunately, Helen passed away 7 years ago. Esmond lived alone in the family home for awhile and then moved to Kerrobert Health Centre.

How To Pick A Good Wife?

Unfortunately, Esmond Allcock did not provide detailed instructions or perhaps, tips on how to pick a good wife. However, using common sense anyone can pick a good and appropriate partner for life.

The first and foremost factor in picking a good wife is the attraction. Would you pick someone you’re not attracted to? Of course, you wouldn’t!

Additionally, the second factor in picking a good wife if is you feel in love with the person. Some people may debate as to which comes first; attraction or love? However, it does not matter which comes first. What matters is both attraction and love must be present.

When attraction and love surround a relationship, it can lead to a stronger and more romantic relationship. In turn, this generates respect, open communication and of course, better intimacy.
